Festival Promoter
A festival promoter is the company or individual that organizes and finances a festival. The role is different from a standard concert promoter — a festival promoter coordinates multiple artists, stages, and production elements across one or more days, managing a much more complex logistics operation.
How festival promoters work
Festival promoters work with booking agents to curate lineups, negotiate fees with dozens or hundreds of artists, coordinate shared production and backline, manage site logistics (parking, camping, vendors, security), and handle a festival-specific advance process through production coordinators. Major festival promoters include companies like Goldenvoice, Insomniac, and Superfly.
