Roles & Personnel

Local Security

Local security consists of security personnel provided by the venue or promoter for show day. They manage door access, barricade, backstage checkpoints, credential enforcement, and crowd safety. Local security is distinct from touring security, who travel with the artist full-time. Local security sometimes works in coordination with local law enforcement as well.

How it's coordinated

Security requirements and placement are discussed during the advance. The touring security director (if the tour has one) works with local security to brief them on access protocols, credential types, and any specific concerns for the show.
