Laminate
A laminate is a hard, durable credential — typically a plastic-coated card worn on a lanyard — that identifies the holder as part of the touring party and grants a specific level of venue access for the entire tour run. Laminates distinguish touring personnel from local day-of-show staff.
How laminates work
Each laminate displays the tour name, artwork or branding, the access level (AAA, All Access, crew, etc.), and sometimes the holder's name or department. Security recognizes the laminate at each venue as valid for the current tour. Laminates are paired with daily wristbands or stickers that indicate venue-specific access.
Laminates as tour souvenirs
After a tour ends, laminates become collectibles — both for crew members who keep them as mementos and for fans who seek them out. The design often reflects the tour's visual identity and becomes part of its memorabilia.
